FERNANDA
Artist
A voice like a prayer, a spirit like the wind— FERNANDA wanders the deer trails between earth and sky, an artist devoted to the path of storytelling and self-expression.
Her forthcoming EP Deer Trails (December 12/25) is a demo-tape inspired collection of songs for the pathfinder and the poet. Grounded by raw vocal power and strong acoustic rhythms, FERNANDA weaves elements of folk, rock, blues, and subtle touches of ethereal electronica together into an eclectic and mystic realm of her own. Timeless and time-bending, Deer Trails is an homage to the prairie landscape the artist walks daily, inspiring self discovery, primal wisdom, and the connection between rhythms of nature and emotion.
Born of Portuguese, Spanish, and Irish descent, FERNANDA draws inspiration from folk culture, the wilderness, and the quiet truths found in solitude. Her lyrics often emerge like journal entries from a pilgrimage—introspective, unfiltered, and emotionally potent. Her 2025 single “Blue Woman” marked her first official release, offering an equally playful and soulful introduction to her artistic world.
FERNANDA’s live set remains intentionally stripped-down and acoustic, preserving the intimacy and emotional clarity of her voice and songwriting. Whether performing with just a guitar or incorporating movement and storytelling, her shows create space for reflection, connection, and transformation.
With new singles “Daughter of a Lightning Strike!” (Sept 12/25) and “Earth & Sky” (Nov 1/25) rolling out and plans for a Canadian tour on the horizon for spring/summer 2026, FERNANDA is ready for the journey ahead.
From spot lit stages in the heart of the city to forests and fields of Manitoba, this Winnipeg based prairie dweller is venturing into this next chapter of her artistry carrying a suitcase of sonic surprises inspired by folklore, mysticism, and nature — guiding listeners on a musical journey through the wilderness within.
