About the Experience
Heartwork is a national initiative by Conscious Economics, in partnership with Canada’s Ministry of Women & Gender Equality, dedicated to helping gig workers thrive, not just survive, in an evolving economy.

This special evening marks the premiere of the Heartwork short documentary, featuring stories from Meagan De Lima, Layla Staats, Anna Ruddick, and others whose voices bring to life the realities, and the possibilities, of gig work in Canada.

She has spoken at events like Women In Music Canada,Canadian Music Week, Canada’s Music Incubator, Honey Jam, Law in Action Within Schools, and Toronto Metropolitan University.

Celebrate the Power of Women in Blues at the 38th Annual Women’s Blues Revue!

We are thrilled to announce the return of one of Toronto’s most beloved musical traditions—the 38th Annual Women’s Blues Revue, taking place at the iconic Roy Thomson Hall on Friday, November 28, 2025.

Presented in proud partnership with the Toronto Blues Society, this year’s Revue promises an unforgettable evening of soul-stirring performances, electrifying energy, and world-class musicianship. For nearly four decades, the Women’s Blues Revue has celebrated the voices, stories, and artistry of women in blues—and this year’s lineup is nothing short of legendary.

Taking the stage at this years event are six incredible artists; Shakura S’Aida who will be playing double-duty as both host and performer. This year’s solo headliners include Jackie Richardson, Cheryl Lescom, Celeigh Cardinal, Joce Reyome and Angelica Jones, who will join S’Aida to celebrate the 38th edition of the Women’s Blues Revue.

Backing this stellar lineup is the All-Star Women’s Blues Band, a collective of Canada’s finest female instrumentalists. The All-Star Women’s Blues Revue Band features: Elena Kapeleris, Carrie Chesnutt, Tara Kannangara, Alison Young, Angelique Francis, Emily Burgess, Jasmine Jones-Ball and Jenie Thai.

Whether you’re a longtime blues fan or discovering the genre for the first time, the Women’s Blues Revue is a celebration of artistry, resilience, and the enduring power of women’s voices.
