- Written Submission - What makes this person / company a great fit?: As a black woman, I have accomplished many things this year. I won the black Canadian music award from SOCAN foundation. I was featured in Elle Canada Magazine as one of the top 6 women in Canada reshaping the Canadian music industry. I performed for SOCAN's 100 year anniversary award show. I co-signed by FL Studio and did a producer breakdown video. I released an EP called "Take Me Back (World Of Eras) which plays constantly on CBC, CBC one, and other great radio stations along Canada. As a black woman, but especially an independent one, I have been able to accomplish many things - but these are the most amazing things I've accomplished within the year. I believe I am a great example for woman in music, showing exactly what you can achieve as a woman in music making FUNK, and R&B sounds that no one is doing at all.
- Written Submission - How would this Honour benefit the nominee?: This honour would help me to build more community in Toronto overall with the recognition it will provide. My goal as an independent artist is for the music to connect worldwide. But if my city doesn't know, especially the women, how can I continue to be an inspiration to a city that raised me? I've helped mentor other creatives through women in music, because I believe in supporting upcoming creatives. The mission you guys stand for - is everything I want to do in the future, and it will only help me achieve that along the way with this honour.
