Shevy Price, founder of Prix Consulting, is an emerging force in the Canadian music industry whose work bridges artistry, entrepreneurship, and community leadership. As a Black, African Nova Scotian woman, Shevy brings a powerful and necessary perspective to the industry—centering representation, education, and empowerment in everything she does.
Through Prix Consulting, Shevy provides strategic guidance, marketing support, and professional development services to artists and organizations across Atlantic Canada. Her company reflects her commitment to helping others build sustainable careers while creating space for Black and underrepresented voices to thrive.
Shevy’s leadership extends beyond consulting—she’s an active mentor, collaborator, and advocate for change in the East Coast music scene. Her passion, professionalism, and community-focused approach are helping reshape how artists navigate the business side of music, particularly in regions that have historically lacked access to industry infrastructure.

Written Submission - How would this Honour benefit the nominee?:
Receiving this Honour would be deeply meaningful for Shevy Price and Prix Consulting, as it would help amplify the important work she’s doing to build sustainable pathways for artists in Atlantic Canada. As a Black, African Nova Scotian woman in the early stages of her entrepreneurial career, Shevy has created a company that reflects her values of equity, representation, and community-building—often working behind the scenes to uplift others.
National recognition from Women in Music Canada would bring greater visibility to both her work and the growing network of artists she supports. It would help open doors for new partnerships, funding opportunities, and mentorship connections, while validating the impact of her leadership in a region that’s often underrepresented in national industry conversations.
This Honour would not only celebrate Shevy’s accomplishments but also spotlight the strength and innovation emerging from the Atlantic Canadian music scene—proving that meaningful change and leadership can come from every corner of the country.
